Cognitive biases are unfounded or unsubstantiated beliefs which motivate people to behave in a prejudiced way.  When people allow themselves to be guided by biases, they end up making destructive choices.  On the other hand, when people resist the influence of cognitive biases, they end up making choices which advance equality and justice.

4) Encourage Socially-Responsible Values

The values upheld by a leader will ultimately define their reputation and legacy.  Socially-responsible values contribute to a reputation of decency.  Socially responsible leaders are universally honored.
